Bricks

- Explosive: Red with a yellow core; blows up a 3×3 area and can chain
- Power-up: White with a purple core; always drops a power-up
Instructions & Guide
1. Goal
Bounce the balls back with your paddle and clear every brick except steel to finish the level. You only lose a life when every ball has fallen, and the game ends when your lives run out. Each life left at the end of a level is worth a 100-point bonus.
2. Controls
On a computer, move with the mouse and click to launch, or use the arrow keys (A/D) and Space. On a phone, drag a finger across the game to move and tap to launch. P or Esc pauses and M mutes, or use the buttons in the top corners of the game.
3. Power-ups & Multi-ball
Broken bricks sometimes drop power-ups; catch them with the paddle. There are 20 in total, listed under Power-ups above. Split, Double, +10 and Scatter can put hundreds of balls in play at once. Dodge the red-outlined bad ones.
4. Levels & Scoring
The first 8 levels are hand-made patterns; from level 9 they are generated and get harder. Normal bricks score 1 and each hit on a hard brick scores 2. Breaking bricks in quick succession builds a combo, and every 25 combo adds 1 to the multiplier (up to 5×). High scores are kept per difficulty.

How do you play Brick Breaker?

Yes. Drag your finger left and right to move the paddle and tap to launch. On a computer use the mouse or the arrow keys.
What does the "● number" at the top mean?
It is how many balls are in play. Split, Double, +10 and Scatter power-ups add balls quickly, up to 500 at once.
How many levels are there?
The first 8 levels are hand-made patterns such as a rainbow wall, a pyramid, a heart and a castle. From level 9 they are generated, with more hard and steel bricks each time.
Do I need to install or sign up?
No. It runs in your browser and your high scores stay in your own browser.
