SlashKit: AI Prompt Manager

Your AI prompt library. Type / in an AI chat box to search and insert prompts you saved earlier, instead of copying them from your notes.

Chrome extension Version 1.6.0 Updated 2026-10-26 Free

Features

Insert with /

  • Type / and a keyword (such as /news); results are ranked by shortcode, title and category. Press Enter or Tab to insert.
  • Type /category:keyword to search one category.
  • Works with Zhuyin, Pinyin and other IMEs; pressing Enter to pick a character does not trigger an insert.
  • Search without typing / via a shortcut (Alt+Shift+K by default) or the right-click menu.
  • A live preview of the full prompt beside the menu.

Template variables

  • {{ticker}}, {{period:last quarter}}: a small form asks for them when you insert.
  • {{today}}, {{today-7}}, {{weekday}}, {{time}} fill in the date and time, in a format you choose.
  • {{selection}} inserts the selected text, {{clipboard}} the clipboard.
  • {{> /format}} includes another prompt, so shared passages live in one place.

Manage a large library

  • Category filters, bulk recategorising, find and replace, Markdown preview, full-screen editing.
  • The last 10 versions of each prompt, with diff and restore; deleted prompts are kept for 30 days.
  • Import and export JSON, CSV (Excel) and Markdown, comparing each entry on import.
  • Usage stats: most used, unused for 90 days, weekly trend.
  • Select text on any page and save it as a prompt from the right-click menu.

Sync across devices

  • Chrome Sync: no setup, compressed before syncing; when space runs out, pinned and recently edited prompts sync first.
  • Google Drive: a hidden app folder in your own Drive, with no size limit and optional daily backups.
  • Edits made on two devices at once are merged, and overwritten versions stay in the history.

FAQ

Which AI sites does SlashKit support?

Gemini and NotebookLM are on by default. ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Google AI Studio can be enabled with one click in the dashboard, and you can add any other domain. Permission is requested only for sites you turn on.

Does SlashKit read my AI conversations?

No. SlashKit does not read or upload what you type into AI chats or the replies you get, and it has no accounts, servers or tracking. Prompts live only in your browser and, if you choose, in Chrome Sync or your own Google Drive.

Why does connecting Google Drive ask for Drive access?

Google Drive is optional. SlashKit asks only for the drive.appdata scope, which covers a hidden folder it creates in your Drive for syncing and backups. It cannot see your other files and does not ask for your name or email address.

What if my prompts do not fit in Chrome Sync?

SlashKit compresses prompts before syncing. If they still do not fit, pinned and recently edited prompts sync first and the rest are marked “local only” and kept on that device. Syncing through Google Drive has no size limit.

What happened to Gemini & NotebookLM Prompt Assistant?

It was renamed SlashKit in version 1.6.0. Your prompts and settings carried over unchanged.
